GREASE

My first dive into hand drawn animation. I used my iPad to draw around 240-250 individual frames for what is about 7-8 seconds of motion. Animation is a tough business! I was tired of seeing conventional walk cycles so I wanted to do something with a little pizazz.

So here’s Jeff Conway as Kenickie walking up to Danny, played by Travolta of course. I don’t even care for Grease as a film. But seeing this random clip, it looked like fun! Kenickie’s hilarious stride with Travolta’s slight turn and demeanor made for a cool hand drawn effect in my opinion. There’s so much body language here to unravel, you can tell these are some cool dudes!
